anyone who wants to read the words of an intelligent cajun poet, songwriter, and activist should visit zachary richard's site. he is an activist for the cajuns (formerly acadians who were forced by the english out of canada and into lousiana), working to preserve the culture of his people through his art. however, despite the fact that hardly anyone takes an interest in the history of his people, he is focusing on the present and future of america and trying to make a difference now. i am waiting for news about hurricane katrina (should be posted this wednesday) from what i consider to be a reliable source. you can find his website at zacharyrichard.com (and click on monthly report). if you want to know what really happened in iraq, you can click on 2004 reports - archives and read the december post. i invite anyone who could still possibly defend what is going on in iraq to comment. seriously, i am an open-minded individual who desperately wants to understand how you think.
