Hey! An expedition sponsored by our university discovered a new tomb about a week and a half ago in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt! "The tomb appears to date to the 18th Dynasty (ca. 1539-1292 B.C.) and it contains five human mummies and several pottery vessels. It is located just a few meters from the tomb of King Tutankhamen." That's something that doesn't happen everyday, and it's especially exciting for me, since one of my best friends is from Egypt! Our university actually has a huge project (The Amenmesse Tomb Project), in which they have been excavating and conserving the tomb of King Amenmesse (also in the Valley of the Kings) since about 1992 (almost a decade and a half)! Congratulations to them for this new discovery! They must be very excited! Here is a link to the project: http://www.kv-10.com/
