email that i sent my students this semester : "the lab will be open M-R, 8:30-3:30, and F 8:30-3:30. i had a much funnier blonde moment that same day, but it is a little too complicated to explain and requires animation to get the full effect.

fast food restaurants could justify including cold fries in an order by putting the cold ones on the top and bottom and the hot ones in between, then saying that they were all hot to begin with but that the top ones were exposed to more air and cooled off really fast, and that it just takes so long to get to the last ones that of course they will be cold by the time you eat them. since this cooling is actually a natural phenomenon, these restaurants could successfully use this method to cut back on fast food waste, rather than wasting so many hot fries, or even the heat required to reheat cold ones over and over or throw them away. my career test results : fast food manager/gastrological engineer.

attention time travellers group on myspace. my calendar officially has two 26ths, so if this is real, we could go forward in time then backward or just be in the present for twice as long, in otherwords, have one of those 48 hour days that everyone wishes for once in a while. i'm excited to see what will happen...let's go!

I just found out that someone from my hometown was hit by lightning. I think that is the second or third case that I have heard of. Unbelieveable.

Nerds have the best pick up lines. Today in a bookstore, I asked this guy the price of a calendar, because I thought he worked there. He didn't, but he said, "for you, I can." It didn't "work," but it was cute and funny, a nice alternative to the insluting jerks downtown...that was the perfect mistype, "insluting," lol, and it doesn't really change the significance, so I think I will have to leave it.

Tonight was a farewell party for the students from our sister school, 中央学院大学. There were testimonies, prizes, food, and the students sang and danced for us. I videoed the dance, which I will upload as soon as I can fix the problem that is keeping me from doing it now, and I wish I had (successfully) recorded the song...they did "I'm the one who wants to be with you..." it was so funny!...and random, too, I thought at first, but then I decided maybe not. Lee, the one who was doing most of the teaching, had the coolest gift ideas, she burned CDs, had crazy candy, and gave everyone a t-shirt from good-will (see photo, iron kids bread, ha, perfect for a commercial!) They had great gifts for us too, which they distributed by drawing numbers and whoever had that number on a slip of paper received that prize. It was great, because there was one for everyone! It is so sad to see them go, but I look forward to teaching there next year as the new exchange professor! I can't wait, they're so fun!

I took my mom to see Diamond Rio for her birthday. This was defintely a sacrifice for me, so I hope she enjoyed it!

i definitely need to put in a sweden update. i had so much to say but forgot most of it before i had a chance to enter it, so now all i have are random thoughts. i wish teachers here made as much money as overnight porn shop workers in stockholm. i have a friend who works in one, and he is comfortable, happy, travelling, and enjoying life...mostly while travelling (away from the job). he even meets some prominent people on the job, ha! on the other hand, one of my other friends and i enjoy our jobs enough that travelling is more of a bonus rather than a necessary method of getting away from the depressant that certain jobs can be, and this friend (as a reporter) gets to meet these prominent people when they are more comfortable, in the mood to talk...not trying to hide. it must be less awkward but maybe less entertaining. i am still waiting for this friend to write his fairy tale article about me..."princess golden skirt". this refers to a skirt that i bought that was golden and very unique. but some villager is trying to steal my title, and now i am so far away...i have to go and think of a solution.
